Welcome to the first monthly Golden Speaker! Hope you enjoy Drew’s work!
Nothing in this world hits as hard as life does, there’s no getting away from it. It’s all about how we react & deal with it that makes the difference and I want your write a little about what I do, how I apply the tips I will share& hopefully a few of you will feel a little inspired from my words.
As the title says, life is like a bow and arrow… you need to be pulled back before life launches you to the success you’re working for, you just need to keep focused and believe in yourself and it’ll all happen for you.
It’s taken me til I’m in my late 30s to get it right, but now I know what it takes to put the past truly behind you & keep on track to succeed.
What so many people do wrong which keeps them back are things like getting too hung up on past failures or what happened yesterday, directly comparing oneself to another who is successful and thinking one needs to be on their level right now to succeed, getting scared of making mistakes… those kind of things. The truth is its okay to make mistakes, it’s okay to cry and open up… a big key to succeeding is knowing that all yesterdays are now irrelevant, there’s a good reason they’re all behind you & it’s because life is all about what’s in front of you and if you keep looking behind you, the past will become your future too. The best thing you can do every day is wake up and think about how you can make this day better than all those yesterdays, even if it’s only by a little bit coz succeeding is all about small baby steps, reachable goals to top up that motivation, focusing purely on you and only you. If you do hit a bump, it’s okay to fall. Just dust yourself down, accept what’s happened and get back on track with both eyes looking forward. Before too long, you’ll be in a place you only dreamt of.
There’s a quote which sums this up that I fully believe in which goes “It’s not about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!”. And that’s what it’s all about. If you can take life’s hardest hits and keep focused and moving forward, you are going to win. It’s okay to feel down & upset, it’s okay to cry. As long as you know the past is past for a reason and find a way rather than excuses, you will be a winner.
Life isn’t meant to be easy but getting the tricks of life right will set you up for a more successful now & future and maybe one day someone will look to you for inspiration and be a rock for them to lean on. Be yourself, be good to yourself, leave the past behind you and take your first step to a new you today!
Love & peace,
